1 dead, 2 injured in shooting in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS — One man died and two others were injured in a shooting in Minneapolis on Friday evening.

Minneapolis police said they were called to the intersection of Lake Street and Park Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound who was taken to the hospital, where he died.

A short time later, two men were taken to different hospitals with gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening. Investigators believe the two men were injured at the same intersection in south Minneapolis.

According to officials, initial information indicated that there was a verbal argument between a group and someone fired his weapon.

The name of the deceased man will be released by the Hennepin County Coroner. No one has been arrested.
