Two security guards arrested for ‘attacking’ doctors and nurses at Kolkata hospital – India News

Two security guards were arrested on Saturday for allegedly attacking doctors and hospital staff in the Cossipore district.

According to police, the security guards were probably drunk when the incident occurred.

An officer from Cossipore police station said, “The case is under investigation. We arrested them after receiving a complaint from the hospital administration.”

A senior hospital official claimed that guards also threatened him with dire consequences.

“The two security guards were drunk and attacked the doctors and hospital staff. They have done this before and we complained to the health department about it,” he said.

He mentioned that the hospital currently employs 11 security guards.
