Criminals from Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey jailed – August 2024

Roberts, 28, of Parc Afon Bach, Llanrwst, was jailed after assaulting an emergency paramedic.

A North Wales Police inspector described it as “a constant drain on our resources”.

Lauren Harris and David Webster

Harris, 29, of no fixed abode but of Colwyn Bay, and David Webster, 43, of Lacey Street, Widnes, were sentenced to life imprisonment after murdering 65-year-old David Wilcox at his home in Colwyn Bay.

Judge Edward Pepperall, who presided over the two-month trial, sentenced Harris to minimum prison terms of 25 years and Webster to 23 years.

Roland Doano

Doano, 45, of Helens Crescent, Pentraeth, entered the staff accommodation at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and assaulted a security guard.

He was asked to leave and he did so, but shortly before midnight he was back in the emergency room.

Macauley wood

Wood, 28, of Glascoed Avenue, Kinmel Bay, played a “pivotal” role in the trafficking of Class A drugs.

Drug-related messages sent from his phone included, for example, “Keep going both ways” and “Massive portion, come on over, hurry up.”

Jack Nash

Nash, 24, of Lawson Road, Colwyn Bay, was involved in the trafficking of heroin and crack cocaine in Rhyl, Abergele and Colwyn Bay.

As it turned out, he was connected to a “graft phone” that promoted the sale of these drugs over a period of about three months.

Craig Richter

Judge, 39, of Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay, committed several thefts in quick succession in Rhos-on-Sea, Abergele and Rhyl.

The stolen items included whiskey, a bicycle and football stickers.

McCouid, 41, of no fixed abode, damaged five police cars in Caernarfon.

He used a stone to smash the windshields and windows of five police cars in front of Caernarfon police station.

Crofts, 27, of Tan Y Bryn Road, Maesgeirchen, Bangor, struck his victim on the head with a dog lead.

The victim fell backwards and hit his head on the curb, causing him to lose consciousness.

Hughes, 34, of Twr Cuhelyn Street in Llanerchymedd, held his friend hostage in a stolen van for three hours

He also attacked his then-girlfriend several times.

Liam Vaughan

Vaughan, 25, of High Street, Pwllheli, raped a woman.

He did this while the woman was sleeping.

Connor Tabner

Tabner, 23, who currently lives in HMP Berwyn but previously lived in Prestatyn, was jailed for offences including rape, sexual assault and sexual battery.

His criminal record already included several cases of violent crimes against women.

Hayes, 61, of Nant Y Felin, Nefyn, was sentenced to prison after appearing in court for a third time in less than a year for motoring offences.

His driving license was revoked for 10 years and 10 months.

Brendon Bell

Bell, 22, was jailed after a six-hour series of break-ins in Northwich, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

He had tried to flee from the police when he was caught a few days later in a car with fake license plates, but was quickly caught and brought to justice.

Atkinson, 52, of Clwyd Terrance, New Brighton, shared an intimate photo of a woman online after they met in Holyhead earlier that evening.

He also received a temporary restraining order valid for five years.

Jones, 61, from Egremont, Cumbria, was stopped while driving in Gwynedd, less than 24 hours after appearing in court for driving without a licence.

It emerged that Jones had already had his driving licence suspended after being charged with drink-driving at Workington Magistrates Court in April.

Swaine, 32, of Gwyndy, Trawsfynydd, was jailed for sexually assaulting a girl.

Vasiliu, 39, was stopped at the port of Holyhead after being banned from entering the UK.

He said he was not aware at the time that his deportation order was indefinite.

Rocha, 38, of no fixed address, was stopped by Border Force officers at the port of Holyhead.

He does not currently have permission to enter the United Kingdom and has been refused entry to or exit from the United Kingdom on several occasions in the past.
