SAPS members in ZF’s Mgcawu district have been commended by the acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Luntu Ngubelanga, for their tireless fight against drugs.

During Operation Shanela operations on August 30, officers seized significant quantities of drugs in several districts.

The suspect was arrested after being found in possession of marijuana with an estimated street value of R301,700.

During simultaneous law enforcement operations in Keimoes, Kakamas and Augrabies, police conducted searches and raids and seized dagga, tik and mandrax tablets with a total estimated street value of R13 170. Six suspects aged between 27 and 40 were arrested for drug trafficking.
