Yograj Singh blames MS Dhoni for ruining Yuvraj Singh's career and says he will not forgive him

Yograj Singh, father of former cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once again criticised former Indian national team captain MS Dhoni, accusing him of ruining Yuvraj's career. The comments surfaced in a recent interview with Zee Switch's YouTube channel and have since gone viral on social media.

“I will not forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very great cricketer but what he did to my son is all coming out now; that can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in my life – first, I have never forgiven anyone who has wronged me and second, I have never hugged them in my life, neither my family members nor my children,” Yograj said in the interview.

This is not the first time Yograj has expressed his disdain for Dhoni. Earlier this year, he attributed the Chennai Super Kings (CSK)'s failure in the IPL 2024 to Dhoni's past actions.

“CSK lost IPL 2024. Why did they lose? You reap what you sow. Yuvraj Singh is the ICC ambassador, hats off to him! And that jealous Dhoni, where is he? He didn't even shake Yuvraj's hand and that is the reason CSK failed this year,” Yograj had claimed in a viral video.

Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL), but his future with CSK remains uncertain as it is unclear whether he will participate in the next season.

Yograj, who himself played for India and made seven appearances at the highest level, has been consistent in public in defending Dhoni and blaming him for hampering Yuvraj's cricket career. Despite his ongoing criticism, Dhoni remains a celebrated figure in Indian cricket, recognised for his significant contributions as a player and leader. The ongoing friction between Yograj Singh and MS Dhoni continues to grab public attention, with new comments sparking discussions and debates in the cricket community and on social media platforms.
