Ji started drawing on May 11, 2022, and it took her nearly six and a half months to complete the entire collection of poems. She said she admires President Ho Chi Minh so much that even in prison, his poems exude a strong will, desire to live, faith and strong revolutionary optimism.

“President Ho Chi Minh did not use elegant, strange or lofty words in his poetry, but every sentence and every word is so simple. Behind this simplicity lies optimism and great love. This revolutionary spirit makes me, as a descendant, deeply admire him. I am grateful that he left such valuable spiritual wealth to future generations.”

According to author Ji Jian Fang, President Ho Chi Minh's poems give her strength and show the unshakable fighting spirit of the Vietnamese revolutionaries.
