Road closed, man seriously injured

Plauen- In Plauen (Vogtland) experienced a severe Accident given.

At around 8:30 a.m., a van driver (69) was driving towards the city on Dresdener Straße.

At the intersection with Möschwitzer Straße, the 69-year-old noticed too late that a semi-trailer truck (driver: 27) had stopped in front of him.

The van crashed into the truck. The 69-year-old was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by the fire and rescue services.

According to initial information from the police, the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Dresdener Straße had to be closed for one and a half hours, causing property damage amounting to approximately 10,500 euros.
