Dhanush breaks world records as India wins men's air rifle event

New Delhi: India dominated the men's 10m air rifle shooting on the second day of the 2nd World Deaf Shooting Championships in Hanover, with Dhanush Srikanth, Shourya Saini and Mohammed Murtaza Vania all bagging medals. Dhanush set two world records in a single day, first with 632.7 points in the qualification round and then with a staggering 251.7 points in the final. His performance left Shourya far behind, who secured silver with 249.9 points. Mohammed Murtaza Vania took bronze with 226.2 points.

In addition to the men's success, India also shone in the women's event, with Mahit Sandhu and Natasha Joshi winning silver and bronze respectively, increasing the country's medal tally.

The Indian team had already secured four medals on the first day of competition, including one gold, two silver and one bronze.
