He noticed the traffic jam on the A7 too late! Driver causes crash with five cars

Six cars crashed into each other on the A7 near Leutkirch on Sunday. A rear-end collision triggered a chain reaction. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accidents.

On Sunday afternoon, traffic was backed up on the A7 between the Leutkirch-West junction and Aichstetten in the direction of Munich. According to the police, a 63-year-old VW driver saw this too late. He then drove into a Mercedes and pushed it onto another car. The following car noticed the accident and braked. But this was too fast for a Skoda driver and he crashed into the braking car.

Overall, the accidents caused property damage of around 25,000 euros. The driver of the front car, which was also damaged in the accident, drove on immediately after the collision. The police are therefore asking witnesses and informants who know anything about these innocent bystanders to contact the traffic police on 07563/9099-0. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. All drivers were able to continue driving their cars despite the damage.
