Man arrested for taking photos of 10-year-old girl changing clothes in Commack store

According to Suffolk police, 27-year-old William Veitch-Canete was arrested for taking photos of a 10-year-old girl changing in a Burlington dressing room. in Commack on Sunday evening.

According to police, Veitch-Canete was working at the clothing store at the time.

The 27-year-old now faces a number of charges, including second-degree unlawful surveillance and endangering the welfare of a child. Residents in the area say they were shocked to hear about the incident.

“It's terrible. I think people should feel safe when they're with their families and not have to worry about things like this,” said Jay Kraidman of Hauppauge. “It's good that they caught him and hopefully they'll take further action to prevent this from happening again.”
