The Beatles album cover “Abbey Road” was recreated on the water of Southampton.

It is 55 years since John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and George Harrison crossed the zebra crossing in front of EMI Studios on Abbey Road.

To mark the anniversary, the Southampton International Boat Show has recreated the album cover, with members of a Beatles tribute band mimicking the famous walk on a giant stand-up paddleboard, while the marina's boats are designed to resemble a north London street.

The stunt took place ahead of this year's boat show, which also celebrates its 55th anniversary this year.

The DJ set is part of a star-studded lineup with Chris Moyles and Ibiza Symphony as headliners.

As the UK's largest boating and watersports festival, the show has something for everyone – from experienced sailors to novices.
