Wilkes-Barre woman arrested for assault in domestic dispute on West Maple Street


WILKES BARRE, Pennsylvania. – A 34-year-old Wilkes-Barre woman was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic dispute on West Maple Street in which she allegedly attacked a man with a bar stool.

Officers with the City of Wilkes-Barre Police Department were dispatched to a residence at approximately 3:03 a.m. on August 31, 2024, for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they made contact with the 39-year-old male victim, who stated that a verbal altercation with the defendant, identified as Medina Fagan, escalated into physical violence.

The victim reported that Fagan hit him in the head with a bar stool during the altercation. According to the victim's statement, officers arrested Fagan at the scene.

Fagan was subsequently taken to city headquarters to face charges. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

    WILKES BARRE, Pennsylvania. — A 34-year-old Wilkes-Barre man was arrested and charged with assault and strangulation following a domestic dispute early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at a residence on North River Street.

    On September 1, 2024, at approximately 12:25 a.m., officers with the City of Wilkes-Barre Police Department responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they made contact with the 31-year-old female victim, who reported that an argument with the defendant, identified as Ramon Perez-Valoy, escalated into physical violence.

    According to the victim, Perez-Valoy punched her in the face several times during the altercation and put his hands around her neck. Officers arrested Perez-Valoy at the scene.

    Perez-Valoy was taken to the city headquarters for arraignment. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

  • 60-year-old man killed in car crash in Temple Hills

    TEMPLE HILLS, Maryland. — The Prince George's County Police Department's Accident Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday morning in Temple Hills. The crash resulted in the death of Douglas Brown, 60, of Clinton.

    The incident occurred on August 31, 2024 at approximately 9:45 a.m. near the intersection of Branch Avenue and Oxford Road. Officers arriving at the scene found two vehicles – a sedan and an SUV – both with significant damage. Each vehicle had two occupants who sustained injuries in the collision.

    All four people were taken to a nearby hospital, where Mr. Brown was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The other three occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

    The cause of the accident remains under investigation as investigators attempt to reconstruct the events that led to the collision.
