Rewa (Madhya Pradesh): A video of two religious storytellers (Kathavachak) were involved in a physical altercation at the Chirahula Hanuman Temple in Rewa went viral on social media on Tuesday. The reason for their clash was a subtle competition over who would narrate the religious story (Katha) to a group of followers.

In fact, Tuesday is a significant day for the devotees of Lord Hanuman and hence many people visit the famous Chirahula Hanuman Temple in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh on this day to pray and participate Katha meetings.

On that day, when a group of devotees had gathered to hear Katha, two priests got into a fight. According to information, one of the Kathavachaks was just about to finalize the details of the Katha with the devotees when another storyteller interrupted them and offered to tell the Katha at a lower price.

This led to an argument between the two, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The situation was finally brought under control when passersby intervened and separated the two men.
