Woman allegedly cut off her partner's penis “after years of domestic violence” | World | News

A woman was questioned by police in Brazil after allegedly cutting off her partner's penis during an argument.

Investigators have not yet been able to arrest her, but are expected to take action after further medical reports are received.

She claimed she acted in self-defense after years of domestic violence.

Her 36-year-old partner insisted that she acted out of revenge after he refused to accept his attempts to end the relationship.

The horror incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in Saquarema, a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The amputation victim was taken to a nearby hospital and then transferred to another hospital, Nossa Senora de Nazareth Hospital, for emergency surgery.

The operation to reattach the severed organ was unsuccessful, but his condition is said to be stable.

Sources close to the ongoing investigation told local media that the unnamed woman fled the scene but appeared at a police station yesterday with her lawyer and admitted using a knife during an argument.

She told police she could not remember what she did with the gun and that it had still not been found.

The woman's lawyer said after her police interview: “She voluntarily appeared at the police station, where she answered all questions asked and agreed to a physical examination. I am confident that the truth will come to light during the ongoing investigation.”

“We will cooperate fully with the authorities and are confident that justice will be done.”

In another incident, a Brazilian woman confessed to cutting off her husband's penis during sex and flushing it down the toilet late last year after she allegedly discovered he was having an affair with her teenage niece.

Diane dos Santos, 34, told police she acted out of revenge after tying her partner's hands together with a pair of underwear and slashing his erect penis with a knife.

She is said to have taken a photo of the dismembered organ before disposing of it in the toilet.

When she turned herself in at a police station near the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, she told officers: “Good night, I'm here because I just cut off my husband's penis.”

Later, an online fundraiser was organized for Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira to give him an artificial penis, which he had requested after Daiane flushed his penis down the toilet in a fit of jealousy.

Shockingly, in April, Gilberto confirmed that he had forgiven his partner and wanted to marry her. Around the same time, Daiane blamed her horror act on sexual abuse she suffered as a child, claiming: “If he wants a wedding, I want one too. I didn't fall in love with Gilberto's penis, I fell in love with the good person he is.”

In the same month, a woman was sentenced to seven years in prison by a Barcelona court after admitting to cutting off her lover's penis by tricking him into believing she was going to perform sexual acts with him.

The 38-year-old, known only as Tanya, was sentenced to her prison term after making a last-minute deal with prosecutors.

She persuaded her partner, who was also her boss at a bar in Sant Andreu de la Barca, near Barcelona, to cover his eyes with a napkin after promising him oral sex, claiming she did not want him to watch because she was embarrassed.

She then took out a knife that she had hidden in her bag and cut off his penis. The penis cutting incident occurred on May 31, 2021.
