Pictures released after sunglasses were stolen at Boots Opticians

On Sunday 11 August, between 12.35pm and 1.10pm, two pairs of designer sunglasses were allegedly stolen from Boots Opticians on Station Road, New Milton.

Officers have now released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with this incident.

The man is described as white, between 25 and 40 years old, approximately 5'7″ tall, of slim build, with short dark hair, a short scraggly beard and a tattoo on the left side of his neck, and was wearing dark trousers, white sneakers and a grey long-sleeved hooded top.

Hampshire police said he had carried a Morrisons bag with him his entire life.

A police spokesman said: “We believe the man in these images may be able to assist us with our investigation and would urge him or anyone who knows his identity to contact us.”

“If you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or have CCTV, mobile phone, dashboard camera or doorbell camera footage that could assist with our investigation, please contact us.
