Teenager kills ex-employer in Delhi to avenge mother’s death – The Week

New Delhi, Sept 3 (PTI) – A 35-year-old momo vendor was stabbed to death in east Delhi's Preet Vihar area allegedly by a 15-year-old boy who blamed the victim for his mother's death, police said on Tuesday.
The arrested teenager used to work with his mother in the shop of the victim named Kapil, it was said.
The incident occurred near Preet Vihar metro station on Monday evening, they added.
On Tuesday, police received information from Hedgewar Hospital that Kapil had been admitted there with multiple stab wounds. His condition was serious, a senior police official said.
Kapil succumbed to his injuries and a murder case was registered at Preet Vihar police station, the official said.
Investigations revealed that Kapil ran a momo stall in Jagatpuri area and lived alone after his wife left him recently, the official said.
Police reviewed video surveillance footage near the crime scene and identified a 15-year-old boy as a suspect, he said.
The teenager was arrested and a knife used in the crime was recovered from him, the official added.
According to police, the accused worked with the deceased's mother in the deceased's Momo shop. The mother is said to have died there from an electric shock a month ago.
The boy blamed Kapil for his mother's death and allegedly committed the murder out of revenge, they added.
