The Casting of Frank Stone: Horror experience now available

The world of Dead by Daylight takes on a new dimension with the horror experience The Casting of Frank Stone.

Behavior Interactive and Supermassive Games announce the release of The Casting of Frank Stone. The cinematic horror experience from the world of Dead by Daylight is now available for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The shadow of Frank Stone falls on Cedar Hills, a town forever changed by his brutal past. As a group of youngsters will soon learn, Stone's blood-soaked legacy runs deep, leaving scars on families, generations, and reality. Experience the story from the perspective of four young filmmakers and decide their fate, play with their relationships, and direct their filmmaking of “Murder Mill,” the future cult film with grim consequences.

Every decision determines the course of the story and therefore the life and death of the other characters. Players explore eerie environments, solve puzzles and master quick-time events while the mystery surrounding Frank Stone is revealed.

“We always want to present players with painful choices that have serious consequences – and we did that particularly well with Frank Stone,” explains Steve Goss, Creative Director at Supermassive Games. “Knowing that a character's life is on the line can be extremely gripping.” We benefited from the world of Dead by Daylight, which had already created such a terrifying and fascinating universe.”

In addition to the story, The Casting of Frank Stone offers various features:

• The editing room floor: On the editing floor, you have the option of “editing” the final version of the story. You can search for important turning points again, find missing collectibles and experience the most dramatic moments again. The feature is unlocked immediately when you buy the Deluxe Edition – alternatively, the feature is only available after the first playthrough.
• Integration for Twitch: Streamers can add additional interactive opportunities to The Casting of Frank Stone for their audience. As the game progresses, viewers can vote on the outcome of a decision—assuming streamers don't use one of their limited vetoes.
• 8mm camera: Those who look through the lens will see unfathomable horror. As the story progresses, players will be pursued by an invisible terror. When the camera starts to crackle, it's the signal to look through the viewfinder and discover what's lurking in the shadows.
• Plunderer’s Sense: Named after the Survivor talent in Dead by Daylight, Looter's Sense reveals the aura of a trinket chest that players may have missed. Pressing a button will reveal the auras of all nearby trinket chests.
• Couch co-op: The Casting of Frank Stone can also be experienced as a group, with up to five players playing together offline. Pass the controller around as the character perspective changes in the game and find out which member of your group is most likely to survive a horror movie.
