EastEnders' Kojo disappears after argument between Elaine and George

EastEnders Spoilers follow.

Kojo Asare is missing on EastEnders next week, after Elaine and George had a big argument.

Kojo arrived in Walford last week (27 August) with Kobina. The pair revealed that they are George's brothers and had travelled from Ghana especially for the occasion.

Kobina told George that Kojo often has to be restrained because of his autism, and George offered to look after his brother after Kobina returned home.

In next week's scenes, Elaine is shaken after a difficult conversation, while George and Kojo spend a fun day together. However, their joy is short-lived after Johnny accidentally triggers Kojo.

Kojo attacks him after the incident and Elaine then explains to George that they cannot meet Kojo's needs. Unbeknownst to her, Kojo overhears the entire conversation.

George tries to defuse the situation by making his brother a drink and explaining the situation to him, but he is unable to find him after escaping the Vic. He is angry that his brother has disappeared and blames Elaine for the situation.

He calls the police but excludes Elaine from the search, while Kojo wakes up from his hiding place and goes to the subway station. George's son Junior spots him and tries to convince him to come back with him, but Kojo explains that he wants to return to Ghana.

Junior, who recently had an affair with George's ex-wife Cindy, goes to her for advice. Cindy says he should give George a chance to work things out. The advice works, and George and Junior share a heartfelt moment.

Although the couple seemed to be on the right track, the question is, will they be able to convince Kojo to stay in Albert Square? Or will he return to Ghana to reunite with Kobina?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. The show is also available to stream on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes are available as early as 6am before their TV broadcast.
