Brandon farm worker Simon Harrington says there is ‘no truth’ to the rape

Giving evidence in the second week of his trial at Ipswich Crown Court, 56-year-old Simon Harrington denied the claims of three alleged victims.

Harrington, of North Court in Brandon, pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape relating to one alleged victim, two counts of sexual abuse of a child relating to a second alleged victim and two counts of indecent assault, three counts of penetrative assault of a child and two counts of sexual conduct with a child relating to a third alleged victim.

Prosecutor Lori Tucker said the alleged crimes, some of which date back to the 1990s, occurred when Harrington lived in Brandon.

She said when police officers went to his home in November 2021, they found a mannequin wearing a T-shirt with the name of one of the alleged victims.

The process continues.
