This weekend, the penultimate event of the season at Barber Motorsports Park will see a three-way battle for the SRO3 class championship in GT America powered by AWS.

There are still four races left to crown the champion. Johnny O'Connell has a narrow lead of eight points over Jason Daskalos, but Justin Rothberg is quickly closing in on both competitors and is in third place, 19 points behind.

The Turner Motorsport driver, who scored a win and a second place last time out at Road America, had momentum on his side in the No. 29 BMW M4 GT3, which is currently on the podium for five races in a row.

A total of 16 cars are registered for the Barber Round in the SRO3 and GT4 categories. The latter title could be secured this weekend by Isaac Sherman, who currently has a 53-point lead over Curt Swearingin of ACI Motorsports.

Sherman, who has won nine of 12 races in his No. 098 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, must leave Alabama with at least a 50-point lead to secure the title with two races to go.

The action on the track begins on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday morning.

Both 40-minute races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
