Man (40) kidnapped and killed because of alleged affair, four people arrested

Gurgaon: A resident of Surat Nagar was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping, assaulting and killing a 40-year-old man on August 28. The accused suspected that his wife was a affair with the man, police said.
According to the police, the accused Rambir worked in a scrap metal business while the deceased Naresh worked as a garbage collector in MCG and lived in Dhankot.
According to police, Rambir and his three accomplices followed Naresh several times to find out his working hours and his route home.
On August 28, when Naresh was returning home, the accused abducted him on a motorcycle from the health centre on Madanpuri Road in Sector 12, took him to a remote place, severely abused him and left him bleeding. Subsequently, Naresh managed to reach a nearby government health centre for treatment. “Naresh was discharged after treatment. He returned home and informed his brother about the incident. In the evening, his condition deteriorated again. Naresh was taken to the hospital and doctors said he succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the attack,” the Gurgaon Police spokesperson said.
Naresh suffered severe internal injuries which resulted in massive blood clots, which were found during the autopsy, the spokesperson added. On August 29, a case was registered against the accused under Section 103(1) (murder) of the BNS on the complaint of Naresh's brother and Rambir was arrested on Tuesday, an official said.
“Police have recovered two scooters, a screwdriver, a hammer and a stick from the accused's possession,” the spokesman said. “Three of Rambir's accomplices were arrested on Friday. They were identified as Pankaj Kumar (19), Vikas Kumar (30) and Jitesh Kumar (19),” an official said.
