The highly anticipated all-American clash between Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe – the first US Open semifinal between two Americans in nearly 20 years – will cost you a whole lot of Honey Deuces.

Prices have risen 60% since Tuesday, when the matchup was finalized. The cheapest price to attend Friday night's game at Arthur Ashe Stadium is $333 per ticket, according to TickPick, an online secondary marketplace for tickets.

And those are tickets for the cheapest seats. Prices soar to as much as $56,000 for a courtside seat. On average, fans will pay about $500 for the 7 p.m. ET match, the fifth most expensive US Open semifinal ever, a TickPick spokesperson told CNN.

Remarkably, demand for the lower-ranked American players is much higher than for the duel with Italian Jannik Sinner, the number one in the tennis world rankings, who plays on Friday afternoon.

Prices for the Fritz vs. Tiafoe match are 231% higher for the cheapest ticket than the cheap seats for Sinner's 3pm ET match against Britain's Jack Draper. The cheapest prices for this match are just $80, and courtside prices are around $1,500.

The high ticket prices come as some fans criticize the long lines and ever-increasing cost of attending the annual tennis tournament in New York. Given the sport's growing popularity, it's perhaps no surprise that total ticket sales on StubHub have already surpassed those of last year's event by 32%, the company told CNN.

Regardless of the price range, the clash between Fritz and Foe is a monumental piece of tennis history because it guarantees an American man a place in Sunday's final – a milestone not reached since 2006.
