CBI initiates proceedings against a Jaipur employee and a private hospital official for abuse of office

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]September 7 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in Jaipur, an official of a private hospital in Ajmer and unknown others for alleged misuse of their official position, the CBI said.

According to the CBI, the accused were trying to obtain illegal donations from private hospitals that were seeking membership of the CGHS, it said.

The CBI has registered a case on a complaint filed by the deputy director of CGHS, Jaipur.

“The CBI has registered a case against one LDC, CGHS, Jaipur, and a representative of a private hospital based in Ajmer and unknown others on the basis of a complaint filed by the Deputy Director, CGHS, Jaipur. It is alleged that the accused LDC, while working in the office of the Deputy Director, CGHS, Jaipur, in collusion with other accused, misused his official position to obtain illegal grants from private hospitals aspiring to CGHS affiliation,” the agency said in a press release.

Today, searches were conducted at three locations/premises of the accused in Jaipur and Ajmer, which led to the seizure of incriminating documents.

Further investigations are underway. (ANI)
