play

Mega Millions players should buy those tickets because this jackpot just keeps growing! The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's drawing has reached a new estimated total of $800 million.

The jackpot rose to around three-quarters of a billion dollars after no one won the jackpot in the last drawing on Tuesday. Had a lucky player won on Friday, they would have pocketed an estimated lump sum payment of $371.6 million after taxes.

Players shared on social media what they would do with the money if they won the $740 million jackpot.

“$740 million?! I guess that's enough to buy myself a ton of fancy clothes and maybe even treat my mom to something special,” X-user Stephanie White wrote in a post on Friday.

“Holy crap!” wrote X-user @robinsondie9871. “My lucky numbers are ready! Maybe this time I'll be the one taking the awesome money and buying a brand new house with a pool.”

Only two people have won a Mega Millions jackpot this year: first in March, when a player from New Jersey won a whopping $1.13 billion, and then in June, when a player from Illinois won $552 million. Will you or your office pool be the third?

The winning numbers were drawn just after 11pm ET on Friday and we have the results below. The jackpot rose to about three-quarters of a billion dollars after no one won the jackpot in the last drawing on Tuesday.

Has anyone won Mega Millions?

Seven is the lucky number for many Mega Millions players, and it was also in Friday night's drawing. Although there were no winners of the jackpot in Friday's drawing, it increased to an estimated $800 million in Tuesday's drawing. Six lucky players from California, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire and Texas won $1 million for Match 5. One player from Ohio won $2 million for Match 5 + Megaplier.
