There appears to be no feud between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes after the wife of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes sparked controversy on social media with her apparent support for former President Donald Trump.

Swift was at Flushing Meadows with Travis Kelce and the Mahomes family to watch the US Open. Swift and Brittany Mahomes were photographed sharing a loving embrace.

There didn't appear to be any animosity after Swift and Mahomes sat in different suites while the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. There may have been some, as Mahomes was embroiled in the social media controversy.

Mahomes' apparent social media like has sparked a social media storm in recent weeks. She first showed her support for Trump on August 13, when she liked Trump's Instagram post outlining the “2024 GOP platform.” The swimsuit model then appeared to respond to the criticism in her Instagram stories.

“I mean, honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have deep-rooted issues that you've been refusing to heal since childhood,” she wrote. “There's no reason why you hate when your brain is fully developed and you hate when others are doing well.”

She posted another cryptic message on her social media.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today… you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have different views and still be kind,” she wrote on August 26. “Read that again!”

Mahomes was subsequently caught liking supportive comments about her stance.

Trump then thanked her for her obvious support.

“I want to thank the wonderful Brittany Mahomes for defending me so vigorously and the fact that MAGA is the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our currently failing country,” Trump wrote.

“With crime and illegal immigration completely out of control, inflation plaguing all Americans, and a world laughing at the stupidity of our hapless 'leaders,' it's nice to see someone who loves our country and wants to save it from ruin. What a great couple – see you both at the Super Bowl!”

All of this led to further fears of a possible falling out between the pair on Thursday when they were not photographed together. But that all seems to be water under the bridge.

The group wanted to see if Taylor Fritz could end the Americans' winless streak at the Grand Slam event.

Fritz will face No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner. Fritz defeated Frances Tiafoe in the semifinals and Sinner beat Jack Draper to earn a shot at the championship title. Sinner already has one Grand Slam title to his name, while Fritz is looking for the first of his career.

But the pressure is increasing.

Swift, Kelce and the Mahomes family were among the celebrities in attendance for the event in the building. Kelce just finished the Chiefs' opening game win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Swift was in attendance to watch her boyfriend play.

After the game, the two flew back to New York. The Chiefs don't have a game until next Sunday, when the Cincinnati Bengals come to town.

If Fritz pulls off the upset, he would be the first American to win the US Open since Andy Roddick won the tournament in 2003. Roddick defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero in straight sets. It was also the last time an American won one of the four major tournaments. Andre Agassi also won the Australian Open in 2003.

Fritz is closer to victory than he has been for a long time. It is the first Grand Slam final of his career. At the Australian Open and Wimbledon he made it to the quarterfinals at the beginning of the year.
