English Theatre: “Murder By Misadventure” – a murderous affair

At the English Theatre, it's all about nothing less than the perfect murder. In the thriller “Murder By Misadventure” by Edward Taylor, the successful collaboration between crime writers Harold Kent and Paul Riggs is about to end. After their last book project, Harold will finally go his own way. Paul, who doesn't want to part, starts to blackmail his now hated colleague.

To his wife's horror, Harold cold-bloodedly decides to put into action a murder plan he has thought through countless times. What could possibly go wrong? In short: before his trip to the USA, the couple lures the annoying Paul into their apartment and locks him on an inaccessible balcony. When they return six weeks later, however, the “corpse” has disappeared. Instead, a police inspector is at the door…

The gripping game of cat and mouse entangles the protagonists in a web of jealousy, betrayal and mistrust. Thanks to a number of surprising twists and a few bloody surprises, the film will be entertaining right up to the end. (bs)
