BTS Army rushes to Suga's aid: Scooter drama will not tear the cult group apart

SEOUL, Sept. 9 – Fans of K-pop supergroup BTS have rallied behind their member Suga following his recent drunken incident, rejecting calls for him to quit the band.

As reported in Yonhap127 BTS fan organizations from 58 countries issued a joint statement today reiterating their support for all seven BTS members.

The statement comes in response to the controversy surrounding Suga, who was tried by prosecutors last month for allegedly driving an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol in Seoul.

On Saturday, some people claiming to be part of the official BTS fan base ARMY called for Suga to leave the group to atone for the incident.

“The Global ARMY Union stands by all seven BTS members,” Yonhap The union made this statement in a statement published in Korean and English on the social media platform X.

The union stressed that it “does not expect BTS members to take on responsibilities beyond those required by law” and stressed that decisions about the group's future should not be imposed by outsiders.
