Thug stabbed man twice in the head outside popular London pub

Kyle Quinn, 22, was involved in a fight outside the Woodin Shades pub near Liverpool Street station in October 2022.

During the fight, he pulled out a knife and stabbed another man twice in the head and once in the back.

“This was a vicious attack that could easily have resulted in the victim's death from his injuries,” said Detective Constable Sam Lowe.

Quinn was identified a month later, by which time he had already left the country.

An extensive investigation, which included interviewing many witnesses, analysing hours of CCTV footage, recovering the knife, forensic testing of blood and DNA and making media appeals, led to police identifying Quinn in November 2022 when he was already overseas.”

But Quinn returned to Britain a few months later and was arrested.

“When Quinn returned to Stansted Airport in January 2023, we were there waiting and arrested him. If you come to the city with a knife to hurt others, we will find you and bring you to justice,” DC Lowe said.

Last week he avoided a prison sentence and was instead sentenced to two years probation.

The sentence included 240 hours of unpaid work.
