8-year-old girl raped in Budaun: Local arrested | Agra News

Bareilly: An 8-year-old girl with learning disabilities was raped in a village in Budaun district under Binawar police station on Sunday. The crime took place when all the family members had gone to work in the fields, leaving her alone at home. The accused, identified as Mohd Mudassira local resident broke into the house and sexually abused the child.
When the family members reached home, they found her crying inconsolably and bleeding profusely. They rushed her to a doctor who confirmed the sexual assault. The police were informed and a case was filed against the accused under sections of the Rape Act and the Pocso Act at Binawar police station.
Budaun SSP Brijesh Kumar Singh said several teams were deployed. Mohd Mudassir was arrested on Monday and sent to jail. The survivor, whose condition is said to be stable, has been taken to hospital for medical treatment. As per guidelines, her statement will be recorded in the presence of her parents.
