Latest injury update for Alabama football's Cole Adams and Kadyn Proctor for Wisconsin week

As the week begins in Wisconsin, Kalen DeBoer provided an injury update on the Alabama football team on Monday.

Cole Adams has an upper extremity injury, DeBoer said, and “We'll see how he gets through the week here,” DeBoer added. “I'm not ruling him out, but he's probably going to be very limited at the beginning.”

As for left tackle Kadyn Proctor, DeBoer said Proctor continues to work on functional mobility in his shoulder. “He's making really good progress” and could be a front-runner for Saturday's game against Wisconsin.

Adams went down in the fourth quarter against South Florida and injured his right arm. DeBoer did not reveal much about the injury after the game on Saturday, saying Alabama will have to “see exactly what it looks like.”

Adams has been the Crimson Tide's primary punt returner in the first two games and also a player in the receiver rotation. He caught one pass for five yards against USF. He has also returned seven punts for 42 yards this season. Rookie cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe took Adams' place and returned one punt for 28 yards.

Proctor has not played yet this season after being named the starter at left tackle. He suffered a shoulder injury during warmups before the game against Western Kentucky. Elijah Pritchett started in his place in the opening game, but then Tyler Booker moved from guard to tackle for the USF game to fill in for Proctor.
