New models introduced (and new AirPods Max)

Apple has introduced new AirPods. They are intended to replace the second-generation entry-level AirPods and the third-generation mid-range model. Apple will differentiate the two models by giving the new mid-range model a high-quality case with a speaker, which makes it easier to locate them with the “Find My” function, as well as noise cancellation to match the AirPods Pro. The more expensive AirPods 4 will also have ANC, which the entry-level AirPods will lack. Both new AirPods now have a case with a USB-C port; the cheaper model cannot be charged wirelessly, but the other can.

The AirPods 4 are based on the AirPods Pro in terms of design, but do not have separate silicone tips. They are supposed to be more comfortable, according to Apple. Inside is the new H2 chip, which is supposed to offer better sound quality. There is also personalized spatial audio and gestures such as nodding or shaking the head. Background noise can also be filtered out when making phone calls. As mentioned at the beginning, the case has become smaller and offers a USB-C port. The case holds 30 hours of charge.

I already mentioned that the more expensive model offers ANC and also comes with Transparency mode. Conversation Awareness helps you have a conversation when you're listening to music. The volume is automatically reduced.

The AirPods can be ordered starting today and cost $129 and $179. Shipping will begin on September 20th.

The AirPods Max are also getting a new generation. The design is unchanged, but they come with USB-C and new colors. The Max cost $549 and can be ordered starting today. They will also be delivered starting September 20th.

Update: AirPods 4: 149 euros, with active noise cancellation 199 euros.
