EQS News: Serious incident at Armacell plant in Cheonan

On September 7, 2024, a fire followed by an explosion occurred in the process area of ​​Armacell's Cheonan plant, causing significant damage to the facility and a shutdown of all operations. All necessary emergency protocols were immediately activated.

One of our employees was seriously injured. He received immediate medical attention and is currently recovering in hospital.

Our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors and the local community.

The situation continues to be monitored and an investigation team has been formed and is on site. Armacell Korea is working with the authorities to determine the cause of this unfortunate incident. Safety has always been and will remain our top priority.

While Armagel's operations are suspended, operations at Armacell Korea's elastomer plant continue as normal.

We will provide updates as new information becomes available and we will be in contact with our Armagel customers regarding continued supply.
