Larry David announces new dates for his comedy tour in a less than enthusiastic promo

play

Larry David makes it clear that he can't wait to have you on his upcoming tour.

On Tuesday, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star and creator announced 10 dates for a U.S. comedy tour called “A Conversation With Larry David.”

“It's really nothing. It's going to be a complete waste of time,” David said in a lackluster promotional video posted to Instagram on Tuesday morning. “There aren't that many things to do in the evenings. So, yeah, I guess if you've got nothing to do, you could consider bowling. It's not a terrible [idea] I haven't done that in about 50 years. But now that I mention it, I think I'll be going on the track soon.”

The show opens in Denver on September 20th and will run in at least several states across the US through December 5th.

“Whatever. If you want to go, you go. If you don't, you don't go. Either way, no big deal,” David joked.

“Leave it, Larry!”: Celebrated series ends after 12 seasons

“Cut It, Larry!” ended last April after 25 years with a series finale that resembled the end of the sitcom “Seinfeld,” in which David had worked.

“Curb,” which premiered on October 15, 2000, was originally an evolution of an hour-long HBO special that aired in 1999. The improvised series follows a hard-headed version of David as he struggles with everyday annoyances with little regard for societal conventions or expectations.

During its 12 seasons, the series received 55 Emmy nominations and won two: once for outstanding directing in 2003 and again in 2012 for “outstanding single-camera editing for a comedy series.”
