Latest information on De'Von Achane's injury: Miami Dolphins running backs

MIAMI GARDENS – Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is dealing with an ankle injury and Raheem Mostert is dealing with a chest injury.

Will Achane and/or Mostert miss the Dolphins’ Thursday night game against the Buffalo Bills?

Mostert is out, coach Mike McDaniel said on Wednesday.

Mostert played despite an injury that not many people would have experienced.

“He gave his teammates another example of how different he is built,” McDaniel said, adding it could take a week or a little longer.

“We’ll see at Achane,” McDaniel said.

“There are several guys we’re going to test out and then we’ll see,” McDaniel said.

The Dolphins have good depth at the running back position, including veteran Jeff Wilson, who contributed to Sunday's win over the Jaguars, and Jaylen Wright, an impressive rookie who was cut from the roster.

Other Dolphins who appeared on the injured list this week include Malik Washington (quadriceps), Liam Eichenberg (shoulder), Jaelan Phillips (Achilles), Jalen Ramsey (hamstring) and David Long (finger).

“Eichenberg is always fine,” McDaniel said.

The most serious injuries for the Bills involve cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm), who is expected to be taken out of the game, and quarterback Josh Allen (non-throwing hand), who is reportedly doing well.
