Chappell Roan is “Hot to Go!” for her VMA debut.

The pop sensation, who is nominated for four awards at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, arrived at New York's UBS Arena on Wednesday night in a striking ensemble that exuded the singer's signature kitschy glamour.

Roan wore a flowing black dress, which she combined with a light green coat with its extravagant train that reached to the floor behind her.

Roan is nominated for Best New Artist, MTV Push Performance of the Year (“Red Wine Supernova”), Song of the Summer (“Good Luck, Babe!”) and Best Trending Video (“Hot to Go!”).

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer is not only nominated, but will also perform a solo performance on the VMAs stage.

“This is not normal”: Chappell Roan speaks out against fans’ “creepy behavior”

Roan's appearance at the VMAs is part of her Midwest Princess Tour. Earlier this month, Roan had to cancel three concerts in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin because she feared “scheduling conflicts.” Her concert in Berlin was postponed until September 23.

“I'm so sorry (and) very disappointed :(,” Roan wrote in an August 29 X-post. “I promise I'll be back. It breaks my heart 💔 Thank you for understanding.”

2024 has been a banner year for Roan, who released her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, last September. The synthpop LP peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in late August. Her latest single, “Good Luck, Babe!”, earned her a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 6.

“Biggest set ever”: Chappell Roan may have made history at Lollapalooza

She's also had some luck on the road. Roan performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April and opened for Olivia Rodrigo's recent Guts World Tour. Her August performance at Lollapalooza was packed with fans, and a festival spokesperson later revealed that Roan had the “biggest one-day performance” in Lollapalooza history.
