Jack Antonoff and his wife Margaret Qualley to perform at the 2024 MTV VMAs

Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley made the VMAs a joint evening.

The musician and actress, who tied the knot in August 2023, were all smiles as they arrived at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards at the UBS Arena in New York on Wednesday, September 11.

The couple appeared in coordinated outfits. Antonoff, 40, wore an orange button-down shirt, black pants, a black woven belt and his signature round-frame glasses. maid The 29-year-old star wore a black velvet dress with a plunging V-neckline framed by tulle. Her drop-waisted dress skirt was made of feather material and fanned out to create an A-line silhouette.

Antonoff's appearance at the MTV awards show follows two nominations with his frequent collaborator Taylor Swift. Antonoff, Swift and Post Malone were nominated for Song of the Year and Best Collaboration for their work on “Fortnight” from Swift's latest album. The “Tortured Poets” section.

In addition to Swift's two nominations with Antonoff, the 34-year-old “Clara Bow” singer was nominated for eight other awards. For “Fortnight” alone, she was nominated in five other categories: Video of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Direction. Swift was also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Pop.

The acclaimed music producer also worked with nominee Sabrina Carptener on her second single “Please Please Please” from her third studio album, Short and sweet. The song itself was nominated in two categories: Best Director and Best Art Direction. Carpenter, 25, was nominated for six awards at this year's show,

“It's wild,” Antonoff said of the success he had with both pop stars during a Today show appearance on Thursday, July 4. He also mentioned the success of Swift's TTPD “crazy.”

The 2024 MTV VMAs will air live from the UBS Arena in New York on September 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
