“Deadpool & Wolverine” and “Inside Out 2” push Disney’s global box office numbers past a huge milestone in 2024

With some absolute blockbusters this summer, Walt Disney Studios has achieved a huge worldwide box office record. This weekend Disney has exceeded the $4 billion mark worldwideespecially thanks to the performance of two films — Inside Out 2 And Deadpool and WolverineBoth films, aimed at completely different audiences, have together grossed nearly $3 billion worldwide. Disney is also leading the domestic market, with total revenues to date exceeding $1.2 billion.




Inside Out 2has generated $1.675 billion worldwideand broke several records in the process. It is the highest-grossing film of the year, the biggest Pixar film of all time and the biggest animation release in history. This weekend it overtook Jurassic World and became the eighth biggest box office hit of all time worldwide. In the USA, the film has grossed over 650 million dollars and is currently ranked 11th on the all-time best list.

Deadpool and Wolverineon the other hand has so far generated 1.29 billion US dollars worldwidewith room for more. It is the second biggest hit of 2024, the biggest R-rated movie of all time, and currently the seventh biggest superhero movie in history. It is also the biggest hit of the stars Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackmancareers and is responsible for reviving the Marvel brand after a largely disappointing post-pandemic period.
