Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos spend a glamorous evening at the Kering Dinner

Lauren Sánchez brings shine!

On Monday, September 9, the 54-year-old journalist and philanthropist attended the Kering Foundation's third annual Caring for Women dinner wearing a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder black mermaid dress with a plunging back and intricate lace floral details.

Sánchez paired the dress with a chic updo and large, sparkling silver earrings.

Her fiancé, 60-year-old Jeff Bezos, did not walk the red carpet but met Sánchez at the event in New York City, where the couple posed with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alessandra Ambrosio, among others.

“There's nothing like getting dressed up and enjoying good company to calm the pre-book release nerves!” Sanchez wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of her look. “Honored to support an amazing cause @keringfoundation tonight with the incredible @salmahayek. I'm grateful and excited for tomorrow. 🚀”

In a new interview with Elle In the issue published on Monday, September 9, Sánchez discussed her style choices with editor-in-chief Nina Garcia.

“I love fashion and I love Latin culture,” she said. “I dress very Latin. Think Sofía Vergara. Think Salma Hayek. I just stick to expressing my true, authentic self through fashion, and some people really love that, and some people really hate it, and that's okay.”

Garcia responded that she should celebrate herself – and said she really believed she did, to which Sánchez replied, “And celebrate all Latinas.”

Sánchez and Bezos made waves in May when the couple attended their first Met Gala, wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta dress with a floral “broken glass”-inspired skirt. fashion was reported at the time. It was partly inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany's iconic glass art, the outlet said.

Before his red carpet debut, Sánchez told the magazine about the dress: “In my mind, it's definitely a metaphor for life, because it's a little bit about how many pieces of life are broken and how to put those pieces back together.”

“It's not just a dress,” she added. “It's truly a work of art.”
