The Weeknd crashes his convertible in the video “Dancing In the Flames” and walks into the light

The Weeknd releases the single “Dancing In the Flames” along with a new music video on Friday, the first track from his upcoming sixth album Hurry up tomorrow.

In the video, The Weeknd is seen driving a red convertible before it crashes and the singer falls into rain and broken glass. “I can't wait to see your face when we change lanes/My love is beyond the pain/But if I miss the brakes, we're dancing in the flames,” he sings in the song's chorus.

“Dancing In the Flame” arrives days after The Weeknd first debuted the song at a special livestreamed concert in São Paulo, Brazil earlier this week. The concert can be streamed in full through Saturday. During the show, The Weeknd also shared the unreleased tracks “Wake Me Up,” “Regular,” and “Runaway.”

The singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, first announced Hurry up tomorrow The last album of the trilogy, which also includes the 2020 album, was released at the beginning of September. After work and 2022 : Dawn FM. Tesfaye had previously said that this album would be his last under the name The Weeknd. He had been hinting at new music for months and released a teaser in July. When he announced the title of the upcoming LP, Tesfaye shared a cryptic message on social media about the conclusion of the trilogy. He has not yet announced an official release date for the rest of the album.

“More songs might help, but what is left for me to say? Woe is me in my gilded cage, isn't it? The very thing that once made me invincible has failed me on the world stage,” he wrote in the dramatic Instagram post. “A new trauma surfaced and opened floodgates. A new path awaits. When today is over, I will find out who I am.”
