Real Betis vs Leganes: Predictions, latest odds and betting preview

The international break is over, Europe's top leagues return this weekend and La Liga restarts on Friday at the Benito Villamarin with Real Betis vs. Leganes.

Betis have had a slow start to the season, failing to win any of their first three games, while Leganes, who were promoted from the Segunda Division last season, are in ninth place. Read on to find out my prediction for Real Betis vs Leganes, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Football odds

Team News

Betis is suffering from a piling up of injuries and will have to make do without Marc Roca, Juanmi, Marc Bartra, Nobel Mendy, Cedric Bakambu and Isco.

Giovani Lo Celso could play on the flank after Rodri moved to Qatar.

Leganes will be without midfielder Renato Tapia, who is out due to a muscle injury.

Real Betis vs. Leganes odds

Real Betis' odds to win are 8/11 (57.9%), while Leganes are 9/2 to emerge victorious. The odds for a draw are 5/2.

The odds for both teams to score are 11/10, while the odds for over 2.5 goals are 5/4.

Real Betis wins and has less than 3.5 goals @ 11/10

After leading the Andalusians to seventh place in La Liga last season, Manuel Pellegrini is unlikely to be happy with Betis' start to the season.

They opened the season with two draws against Girona and Alaves before suffering a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid before the international break, which put them on the defensive early on.

But losing to Real is by no means a disgrace, as they dominated the tie against Alaves.

It is also worth mentioning that Betis easily achieved 2-0 and 3-0 victories against Kryvbas in the Europa Conference League playoffs and can take the maximum points on Friday.

They have been held back by injuries this season but have the quality to face newly promoted Leganes, who have had a poor start to the season with games against Las Palmas, Real Valladolid and Mallorca.

Betis are a quality team that qualified for Europe last season and can win this game despite only scoring four goals in their first three games.

With this in mind, betting on a Real Betis win and less than 3.5 goals at odds of 11/10 could be a good idea.

Abde Ezzalzouli can score at any time @ 12/5

Aitor Ruibal has been tasked with leading Real Betis' attacking line so far this season, but the Spanish striker has struggled to make an impact.

And it might be worth taking a look at the goalscorer markets for this game, with Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli offering attractive odds to score at any time.

Ezzalzouli recently scored a first-half brace in the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-offs against Kryvbas and was one of his team's top scorers in all competitions last season with five goals.

His pace and tricks on the flank can be quite exhausting and he will be worth keeping an eye on on Friday.
