How to watch and stream the 76th Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES (AP) — If it seems like the Emmys just happened, you're not wrong.

The 76th Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, about nine months after the last ceremony honoring best television series. Strikes in Hollywood last year delayed the 75th edition of the show until January, when “Succession” and “The Bear” dominated the show.

The Bear will play a major role in this weekend's show, but January's Succession celebration marked the final season and paved the way for a new drama series winner.

Enter “Shogun.” The FX series about feudal Japan enters the show with 14 wins thanks to last weekend's Creative Arts Emmy Awards. That sets the record for most wins in a single season and will likely extend that lead.

Here's everything you need to know about Sunday's Emmys, including how to watch and stream the red carpet and the show, and who's nominated.

When do the Emmys start?

The show begins at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) and airs live on ABC, which can be received with an antenna or through cable and satellite providers.

What if I want to stream the Emmys?

The Emmys can be streamed live on live TV streaming services that carry ABC, such as Hulu+ Live TV, YouTube TV and FuboTV.

For those without that service, the show will stream on Hulu on Monday.

So who has already won an Emmy?

Many people from “Shogun,” including actor Néstor Carbonell. Maya Rudolph also won a trophy for her work in “Big Mouth,” and Jamie Lee Curtis received her first Emmy for her guest appearance in “The Bear.”

The Creative Arts Emmys honor many of the craftspeople who make shows successful, but the top awards won't be presented until Sunday, when the ceremony will be hosted by actors Eugene and Dan Levy.

How can I watch the Emmys if I'm not in the US?

The Emmys can be viewed in dozens of countries. The Television Academy website has a handy list of broadcasters and, in some cases, broadcast times. You can access it at https://www.emmys.com/watch.

How can I watch the Emmy Awards?

“Live from E!” will air its red carpet coverage beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on the cable channel E! Laverne Cox, the first transgender person to receive an Emmy nomination, will anchor the coverage along with comedian Heather McMahan and E! News' Keltie Knight.

People and Entertainment Weekly magazines will also host a live red carpet show on their websites and YouTube, also starting at 6 p.m.

Who is nominated for the Emmys?

Shogun is the leading film with 25 nominations, while The Bear has 23 nominations, including Jeremy Allen White for Best Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series – both awards the series won at the ceremony postponed in January due to a strike. Ayo Edebiri, who won Best Supporting Actress in January, is nominated this time in the Best Comedy Actress category.

“The Crown,” with 19 nominations, and “Hacks,” with 16 nominations each, return to the Emmys after a multi-year hiatus. Elizabeth Debicki is nominated for best supporting actress in a drama for her portrayal of Princess Diana, while Imelda Staunton is nominated for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II.

Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster has a good chance of winning her first Emmy for best actress in a miniseries, anthology series or television movie for her role in “True Detective: Night Country.”

Reigning Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor, Robert Downey Jr., could also win an Emmy for the first time. He is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries for his five roles in “The Sympathizer.”
