Yankees ace immediately names the Red Sox bat as the batter who causes him the most problems

New York Yankees star and Cy Young winner Gerrit Cole was interviewed for Hispanic Heritage Media Day and asked which Latino hitter gave him the most trouble. His answer was immediate: Boston Red Sox slugger Rafael Devers.

Devers is an amazing hitter even when he's not facing Cole. His career averages are .281/.346/.514/.859 and he's hit 200 home runs in his eight-year career. When he's facing Cole, however, he reaches new heights.

Against Cole, Devers averages .333/.395/.974/1.370 and in 15 games against him, he has 13 hits, including eight home runs. Devers has also scored 18 runs against Cole.

Cole is no pushover either, but Devers is his kryptonite. His career stats include a 3.17 ERA, a 151-79 record, and over 2,200 strikeouts.

Devers and the Red Sox will host the Baltimore Orioles for the final time this season. The playoff game is today at 7:10 p.m. EST. The Sox will travel to New York tomorrow at 7:10 p.m. EST to play the final series against each other.
