Aaron Rodgers is determined to get the Jets back on track against the Titans

After the first few series – a quick three-and-out after a pass loss by Allen Lazard, followed by a fumble by Breece Hall on the next series – Rodgers and the Jets went on a 12-play, 70-yard drive that lasted more than 7 minutes. On that drive, Rodgers completed 4 passes to Garrett Wilson before Hall crashed over the ball from 3 yards out following a nice block by Lazard.

Lazard and Rodgers were close teammates in Green Bay, and although the wide receiver, who signed as a free agent last season, faced challenges, Rodgers said he never doubted Lazard would bounce back.

“I mean, he played really well,” Rodgers said of Lazard (6 catches on 9 attempts, for 89 yards and 2 TDs). “I'm just as proud of him as I am of his play at the goal line. [Hall’s] than anything else, because that's how he got paid. He got paid to be the dirty guy, to stick his head in there, block guys and finish plays. He caught a great fade [for 26 yards] to get him going after the drop, and then a great adjustment in free play [a 36-yard TD pass] and had a stick route for 15 yards. I'm really proud of Allen. You know, that's what I expect from him. The cool thing is that he expects that from himself, too. So last year was definitely really tough for him, but that was the Allen I know and love on Monday night.”

With the 49ers controlling the ball for more than 38 minutes and the offense limited to 49 plays, Rodgers' 13 completed passes were split between Wilson (5), Lazard (4) and Hall (4).

“It's not super frustrating,” Rodgers said. “I mean, I think the biggest thing is that guys don't forget that it's a long season and we try to get the ball to everybody, obviously. Just having five different guys catching passes is not exactly a typical game that I've played in, but you know, we're on the sidelines a lot of the game and that's partially our fault, third downs, not converting, three-and-outs, not converting a first or second down. Defensively, we didn't get off the field as much as they would have liked, I'm sure. But in those situations, we have to help our defense. If it takes 30 minutes, [points] To win we would have had to score 30 points, so that wasn't good enough from our side.”
