Ravens honor Jacoby Jones and coach Joe D'Alessandris before home opener

BALTIMORE – Before Sunday's home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Baltimore Ravens want to honor the life and legacy of Jacoby Jones and coach Joe D'Alessandris.

Jones died on July 14th from hypertensive cardiovascular disease; coach D'Alessandris died on August 25th after an acute illness.

Before kickoff on Sunday, more than 40 Ravens legends, including Ray Lewis and Torrey Smith, will honor Jones' life with a special tribute.

His mother, Emily London-Jones, and son, Jacoby Jr., will be on the field for a moment of honor.

The Jacoby Jones exhibit will also make its debut. It is part of the Ravens' mobile museum, a compact museum in which the organization can present parts of its history through various exhibitions.

Coach D'Alessandris' family members will be honored during the coin toss on the field as a tribute to his decades-long coaching career.

Team officials advise that fans should arrive at their seats no later than 12:40 p.m. to participate in the pre-game ceremony.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
