Giants injuries: PK Graham Gano questionable after being led off the field

The New York Giants suffered their first on-field injury in Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders, as Graham Gano was deemed questionable after the opening kickoff.

Gano tried to help defend Austin Ekeler's return but slumped to the ground and had to be carried off the field. The Giants had Gillan practice field goals after Gano shortened his pregame warm-up, and Gillan will kick field goals the rest of the way.

It was a situation to watch before the game, as Gano was dealing with a groin injury. Gano was added to the Giants' injury report on Saturday with said groin injury and appeared uncomfortable during warmups.

The Giants chose not to sign rookie kicker Jude McAtamney from the practice squad, even though Gano's name appeared on Saturday's injury report.

Punter Jamie Gillan will take over all kicking duties if Gano is unable to return.
