Emmys 2024 live: When are they taking place, who is nominated and how can you watch Shogun and The Bear win the main awards?

The 2024 Emmys take place tonight, with a controversial Netflix show baby reindeer, Kitchen drama The bear and historical series set in Japan Shogun among the frontrunners.

The three-hour ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and begin at 8 p.m. ET (midnight GMT). A live broadcast will be streamed on ABC, while the show will be available to watch the next day on Hulu.

This year's event will be hosted for the first time by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, who jointly developed and starred in the hit series. Schitts Creek.

“We will keep it bright and friendly,” Dan Levy told the Los Angeles Times, while his father added: “You set the tone, and it's our tone. It is what it is.”

“It's a little tricky when you're in the small stuff, but ultimately we have to stay true to ourselves and do what we find fun.”

The award winners include Hollywood legends and Mary Poppins Star Dick Van Dyke, 97, along with Allison Janney, Martin Sheen, Matt Bomer, Lily Gladstone and Kristen Wiig.

How to watch the Emmys tonight

The 2024 Emmy Awards take place tonight (September 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Live coverage will air coast-to-coast on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).

The ceremony will be available to stream on Hulu the next day before disappearing from the platform on the 22nd.
