One of the biggest surprises in the 2024 premiere period is the series “Ripley”, a modern adaptation and darkening of the famous novel The Talent of Mr. Ripley, by Patricia Highsmith.

This miniseries, with a structure of several episodes, has carefully treated the audience with its psycho-psychological narrative and its troubled atmosphere, quickly turning into a critical and audience-critical atmosphere. The series begins with the life of Tom Ripley, a young, caristic person, but troubled and involved in the world of the old society, busy with toil and commitment, arguing about everything to achieve the life he needs.

Ripley received 13 Emmy Award nominations, Divided into three categories: “Best Miniseries” and “Best Actor” for Andrew Scott, who interpreted Tom Ripley with an even more intense vision and darkness in previous versions. Unlike the previous adaptations, after Ripley was retired as a doctor, Scott presented a new dimension of friend and calculation of his personal psychiatry as a man in his house.

The series' Elenco is one of the others who contributed to its outcome. Along with Scott, actors Dakota Fanning, Johnny Flynn, Eliot Sumner and Bokeem Woodbine were asked to attract public attention and special attention from critics. The Emmy nominations also include awards in the technical categories such as film and sound, reflecting the overall quality of the production.

Traveling to Italy, Ripley assumed a false identity and contracted with an editor to help integrate him into a world of England and privilege. The tension mounted as Ripley went on the leash, struggling to keep his subject intact while observing the Observer, who was being affected by his manipulation and constant interference.
