Dairy Queen launches waffles with churro dip and two desserts for St. Patrick's Day

Milk Queen

Dairy Queen's new dessert contains sugar, spices and everything nice.

The ice cream parlor began serving its new waffles with churro dip at all locations on February 27. After limited testing over the past few years, the menu item is now available nationwide.

The new cone contains vanilla soft serve ice cream dipped in a churro glaze and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, just like the fried dessert it's inspired by.

A Dairy Queen spokesperson did not confirm how long the churro-covered waffles will be available, but for now, fans can stop by the chain and try them in four sizes: kid-size, small, medium and large.

The churro cone is not the only new addition to DQ's menu. The latest “Blizzard of the Month” is a mint brownie blizzard. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the green delicacy combines brownie pieces, chocolate chips, vanilla ice cream and minty crème de menthe.

The chain also launched a new “Under the Rainbow Shake,” a strawberry-flavored vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles, topped with whipped cream and more sprinkles.

Dessert lovers on St. Patrick's Day can also head to McDonald's and enjoy the long-awaited return of the Shamrock Shake. Introduced in 1970 in honor of the Irish holiday, the minty treat features a creamy vanilla soft serve blended with Shamrock Shake syrup and topped with whipped cream.
