Beyoncé confuses fans with her late Valentine's Day post

Beyoncé has shared countless photos of herself and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, over the years.

At the end of last year, the “Run the World” singer shared several photos of herself and the musician posing together in glamorous outfits. In one photo, the mother of three was seen in a shiny Gucci blazer.

There was also a photo of the two standing side by side – Jay-Z in a tuxedo and Beyoncé in a voluminous dress – and a video clip from jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. on the theme of “Date Night.” The video shows the two hugging and holding hands, and even their ten-year-old daughter Blue Ivy makes a surprise appearance.

So when Valentine's Day rolled around this year, eagle-eyed fans probably expected the Grammy winner to share a post of herself and Jay-Z to mark the occasion. Instead, just over a week after International Romance Day, she posted photos on Instagram in honor of the day—but Jay-Z was nowhere to be seen.

The singer chose to share solo photos of herself, including one of her in a majestic red outfit that consisted of a sweater with a cut-out heart on the back.

Another photo showed a cake with the words “Happy Valentine’s Day” written on it.

In other photos, the singer can be seen wearing a tracksuit of the same color and stepping out of a private jet in a bright pink look.

“Beyoncé said TODAY is Valentine's Day,” wrote one fan. Another commented, “I knew we were getting Valentine's Day photos but these exceeded my expectations.”

Other fans couldn't help but point out that the Dreamgirls star's Valentine's Day post was quite late. One person simply wrote: “Valentine's Day was a week ago [sic],' and another commented: 'Lol @ we thought Valentine's Day was on February 14th but Beyoncé said it was today. So it is today [sic].'

A photo of Beyoncé in the same pink look was shared on her Ivy Park brand page with the caption “BEY MINE.”

To mark Valentine's Day last year, the music sensation released a video showing off her outfit and giving a sneak peek of how she celebrated the occasion with Jay-Z and her three children, Blue Ivy and four-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.

The clip also featured photos of rose petals, paintings (apparently painted by her children) and a picture of Beyoncé and the rapper.
