The most popular Halloween decorations of 2024

You may want to buy your Halloween decorations early this year. Because by October, all the good stuff is gone. It's crazy that we see Halloween decorations on display in some stores as early as late June/early July. Some people think it's too early for the spooky season, but these Tampa Bay stores are ready for pumpkin lattes, scary movies, and trick-or-treating.

Crazy when you consider that the year is already more than seven months old. The holidays are fast approaching. In fact, it's already happening! We first spotted the Halloween decorations in June at major stores like Costco! They were only selling a few items, probably left over from last season, but even so, it was a shock to see them in the middle of summer. You know that means the Christmas decorations will be out before Halloween gets here.

One Halloween item that will be at the top of most people's lists is Home Depot's viral giant skeleton. The home improvement store announced an expansion of its giant Halloween products, including some iconic characters like Jack Skellington and Frankenstein. The products launched online on July 18, and the first to sell out was the giant 7-foot skeleton dog.

Popular Halloween Decoration Themes for 2024 and Where to Find Them

Spirit Halloween stores in the Tampa Bay Area could reopen as early as August 1. We haven't seen anything yet, but we have a feeling that's when Target will also start rolling out its spooky seasonal items.

Pink was a big trend color last year (thanks, Barbie), so we've noticed that so many Halloween products now have a pink/girly touch. If you walk into a Michael's Craft store, you'll notice this in the 2024 collection.

There's a Halloween aesthetic for everyone. There's a gory, realistic vibe, skeletons, pumpkins and witches, or you can go a little more spooky-scary, and that's where West Elm often does stuff with snakes or black flowers.

You can already shop online, but if you prefer to shop in person, some stores like Michaels, Joan's, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods are already stocked with spooky Christmas decorations, so if you want to snag all the great stuff before it sells out, start there!
